The name Darals Toy Fox Terriers is derived from our first names, Daryleen & Ralph. We started in 1990 with an obedience dog, U-CDX 'PR' Gorden's Holy Moses CGC TT-2-TFT. Moses was only the fifth Toy Fox Terrier to earn his U-CDX title. He also earned his Canine Good Citizens title (CGC) and was the second Toy Fox Terrier to ever pass the American Temperament Test (TT-2-TFT). A year later we obtained 'PR' Gorden's Slick 50 CGC for a second obedience dog. Although he earned his Canine Good Citizens title, Slick never took to obedience training and became a house pet. However, a few years later Slick was picked up by a Modeling Agency for ad work and then began Agility training, which he loved. He had his first agility show in Spring 2001. Sadly we lost Moses in 2005 and Slick in 2006.
We obtained our first conformation dog, UKC GR CH 'PR' Gorden's Doctor Zorro CGC in 1992. In December of 1995 we obtained a beautiful puppy from Dot Jacobs in Florida. In August of 1996, at the ripe old age of 10 months she went National Grand Champion. Lacy (UKC NAT GR CH 'PR' Darals & Jacobs Victorian Lace) then went on to be the Number 1 TFT in the Top Ten Bench Dogs list that year. In 1997 she showed against the other Top Ten dogs at the U.K.C. Centennial and was crowned the TFT Top Ten Best of Breed. She then placed 7th among all of the Top Ten Best of Breed dogs. Lacy's descendents are still represented in our breeding lines and show dogs and have been placed in several show homes from coast to coast.
With the recognition of the Toy Fox Terrier by the American Kennel Club (AKC), we have been concentrating our efforts on AKC. shows. We now have several AKC Champions including CH Darals Move To The Right Tempo (Tempy) who is pictured at the top of this page. Tempy is now 5 years old and has several champion offspring.
All of our dogs are family dogs first. We occasionally have puppies for sale, or retired show dogs to place into loving homes.
